NCCA Membership
Setting standards for the Carpet and Upholstery Industry

The National Carpet Cleaning Association was established in 1968. It is the only independent UK trade body solely dedicated to the craft of carpet, upholstery, curtain, and other soft furnishing cleaning.

As such the Association is now widely recognised, not just by the homemakers but also by government, media, industry, and commerce, as being the authoritative source of information and advice on all aspects of the industry.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSOCIATION

From the outset, the principle objective of the NCCA has been the establishment of minimum standards within the carpet and soft furnishing cleaning industry. The Association has the dual aim of safeguarding the reputation of the industry and its members, and protecting its customers whether in the domestic or commercial sphere.

Because the NCCA believes that proper training together with the knowledge, understanding, and skill acquired through that training, is so vital to the maintenance of standards, the Association has an ongoing commitment to the education and training of its members.

By means of its comprehensive training program, the Association believes it can uphold its promise to potential customers that every one of its members maintains the highest of standards of both service and workmanship, and indeed are masters of their profession.

Members are also required to abide by the Association's Code of Practice, which covers such specifics as fair pricing, service, complaints procedures, liability and consumer protection, designed to ensure customer satisfaction at all times. All members are required to provide a high quality service to their customers, summed up by the association's motto: "Service with Integrity".

Only fully accredited members of the Association are eligible to use the NCCA name and logo, and thus able to extend to their customers the assurance this offers. In addition all members are issued annual membership certificates. The use of the logo together with the membership certificate provides a positive identification of a qualified and reliable technician.
